Solid Carbide coverstock problem

I had bought a 15lb Solid Carbide Buzzsaw in November of '00. For the first 2 months of using the ball it's performance was awesome. The ball carried the house especially the light hits. However after about 2 months (roughly 50-60 games) the ball lost ALOT of its agressiveness and stopped hooking anywhere near what it used to. I had it slightly roughed up at the pro shop where I purchased it. That however proved not to be the answer. I took a maroon Scotchbrite pad to it which seemed to help a litte. I even "sweated the ball" in the oven at very low heat. After that I used a product called "Hook It" this once again helped but only temporaraily. I loved this ball at first then began to hate it after the performance declined. My question to you people at Lane #1 is are all particle balls this high maintainence? I have a Pearl Viper that I shot 300 with last February. The performance of that ball is what drew me back to Lane#1. For what I paid for this ball I am really disappointed with how it gassed out after only two months. I look forward to hearing back from you regarding this issue.
Sincerely,
Nick Schneider
